2017 Master Gardener Volunteer Training: Application deadline January 13, 2017
Shelby County Master Gardeners and OSU Extension, Shelby County are now accepting applications for 2017 volunteer training classes. Eight day-long (9 – 4) sessions held on Thursdays, March 2 through April 27, will be held at the Shelby County Agricultural Service Center. The cost of the training will be $150, which covers the training sessions, a comprehensive training manual, handouts, light snacks, a t-shirt, and other incidentals.
Master Gardener Volunteers (MGV) support OSU Extension, Shelby County in meeting the needs of our citizens in the area of consumer horticulture by assisting with educational programs, diagnosing plant problems, making cultural and pest management recommendations, and other various opportunities. As part of the registration process, all applicants will participate in an interview and must pass an online First Advantage background check. Specific information about these steps will be made available upon receipt of the completed application.
