Shelby County 4-H Foundation Supports 4-H
The Shelby County 4-H Foundation, Inc. was established on November 18, 1993. It was formed to support the 4-H Clubs located in and serving Shelby County, Ohio. The responsibilities of the Foundation trustees include attending a minimum of four regularly meetings annually, approving and supporting an annual budget, reviewing proposals submitted by OSU Shelby County extension staff, the 4-H Advisory Committee, and 4-H youth and adults, and managing the endowment funds.
Contributions to the 4-H Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law and may be made at any time. Checks should be made payable to the Shelby County 4-H Foundation, and may be mailed to the Foundation in care of OSU Shelby County, 810 Fair Road, Sidney OH 45365.

4-H Breakfast:
The Foundation annually receives the proceeds from the 4-H Breakfast, sponsored by Sidney Elks #786. The Sixteenth Annual 4-H Breakfast is set for Sunday, September 7, 2008, in conjunction with Applefest.

Performance Standards of Excellence Scholarships: Two $500 scholarships awarded annually to any graduating senior, regardless of intended major or college. Application deadline: June 30. Winners drawn at random at the 4-H Recognition Banquet.

Ginn Scholarship:
The Foundation also administers the Mr. & Mrs. C. H. Ginn Agricultural Scholarship Fund. The Ginn Scholarship, established by Vera Ginn in memory of her late parents, is awarded annually to a Shelby High School senior planning to major in agriculture or an ag-related field of study and to pursue an ag-related career.
